Nirvana

What dimension do you reside? Are you living in the present moment, the past or the future?

In Buddhism, it is said we either live in the Historical Dimension or the Ultimate Dimension. Historical describing the past and Ultimate referring to the now. This is man’s struggle every day. We are constantly hopping from one dimension to the other and in and out of consciousness and unconsciousness.

If I could encourage you to access a window of logic and consciousness right now, I have a question. What dimension helps you take a breath and acknowledge it? Which dimension provides you with the ability to take a step forward towards your dreams?

The Ultimate Dimension is the answer.

Conversely, which dimension has a tendency to hinder your breath or make you weary of taking a step forward? Yes, the historical or the future dimensions. So if you seek Nirvana, you seek a state where all concepts of existence, non existence, death and birth are extinct. Neither here nor there. Your out of control states. You simply decide on where you wish to travel and live in the ultimate dimension which is in full support of that destination. Considering nothing else.

In his book, You are Here, Thich Nhat Hanh reminds us:

Just like a wave does not need to rise and crash to become water, you don’t need to be born again or die to be present.

Make sense?
